Working lightsaber concept

This is the current design for the lightsaber I'm building. The end product will be a gift for my cousin, who's definitely Sith through and through. It will feature sound effects for start up/turn off, idle hum, whooshing (via motion sensor), and clashing. Also, it will have a 3W Red Luxeon Star LED with a duel-ready 1" OD polycarbonate blade.

This sucker is gonna rock, and I'll probably shed a tear or two when I have to hand it over to my cousin.

I have about 50% of the materials ready for it, including the sound module "pack" which I prepared this past weekend. I already cut my grips and the PVC shroud, and my battery pack is ready to insert as well. I'm currently waiting on a guy I know to get blade holders/heatsinks in stock, and then I'll order those along with my LED supplies to save on shipping.
